DJ At Any Age is a participatory learning program designed to engage music lovers of all ages in the art of deejaying. DJ At Any Age offers workshops to individuals and organizations. ​​Introduction to DJing Workshop:
In this DJ At Any Age workshop you will learn the basics of DJing including how to use a dj controller and dj software to play a song, add effects and have fun with samples.

STEMS Workshop:
Ever wish you could combine two songs together to create a recognizable but brand-new sound? In this DJ At Any Age workshop you will learn how to create simple real-time mashups using stems in Serato DJ Lite software.
​
​Scratch Dat! Workshop:
We've all heard that distinct "wiki wiki" sound created by hip hop DJs. Whether you're beginning your DJing journey or you just want to add scratching to enhance your current dj performances, this DJ At Any Age workshop will teach you the foundations of scratching to get you started.
DJing Workshops for Kids, Teens and Adults
Note: No previous DJing experience is required for any of our workshops. DJ equipment and software will be provided in the dj lab.

DJ Duets for Kids and Caregivers is a fun hands-on workshop that provides an opportunity for children and their caregivers to spend time together while they learn how to dj.
​​​
Participants will spend two hours learning basic deejaying skills such as how to use a dj controller and dj software to select and play songs.
​
They will also develop an understanding of volume and tempo and learn djing terminology.

Intergenerational DJing Workshops

DJ At Any Age Learning Series

Overview:
In this comprehensive course​ participants learn basic deejaying skills such as song selection and mixing, working with volume and tempo and understanding deejay terminology.
DJ Recital
The course includes a djing recital that gives participants an opportunity to curate a playlist and present it to an audience of family and friends.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will understand how to use a dj controller (i.e. deck, mixer and effects sections)

Participants will understand how to use djing software (i.e. using crates, creating playlist, setting cue points, etc.)
​

Participants can use their new deejaying skills to curate an awesome musical experience.
Intro to DJing for Kids, Teens and Adults
7 Week Series
Music and Memories in the Mix
7 Week Intergenerational Program
Overview:
Older and Younger Adults learn basic djing skills and connect with others over a shared love of music. Deejay Vee teaches how to use a dj controller and software in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
Participants, create and exchange playlists of songs that represent meaningful moments in their lives.
DJ Recital
The final session will be a DJ performance opportunity for participants to show off their DJing skills.
